Snow season accommodation for all budgets

IT’S COMING: yep, we’ve borrowed one of the most-overused clichés to say that winter is nearly here so it is time to start planning for your big snow trip – and try and find suitable accommodation that doesn’t break the bank, but is convenient.

Discovery Parks is a nationwide tourist park organisation that has a fantastic park located in Jindabyne, right in the heartland of the NSW snow fields. The park offers not only the convenience of being located in the town itself, allowing easy access to shopping and dining, but it is also only a 30-minute drive to ski fields such as Thredbo, Perisher and Smiggin Holes. The accommodation options range from budget through to luxury, making it quite appealing; there is a mix of cabins, villas, bunkrooms, and caravan and tent sites, so any budget is catered for.The park also offers chain hire and fitting, there’s a drying room, as well as spa and sauna. Plus, if you’re anything like some members of the AG Outdoor team and have the odd crash on the slopes, there’s also a ski repair shop on site.

There are, of course, myriad options for visitors to the ski fields when it comes to accommodation but for families on a budget, or a group of friends, having this wide range of pricing options available makes the Discovery Park at Jindabyne hugely appealing.
