South-west woma

Australian Geographic - - Reader's Photos - by Ross McGibbon

This rare and endangered south-west woma ( Aspidites ramsayi) was photographed on the Peron Peninsula, WA. This non-venomous and virtually harmless python has almost disappeared from its original distributions in south-western Australia due to habitat destruction for agriculture and the introduction of feral animals.
