BLOOMING WILDFLOWERS, BOLD PARK

Australian Geographic - - Wild Australia -

With wildflower season not quite done, November is a great time to soak up some nature along Perth’s many walking tracks. WA has 12,000 wildflower species, one of the world’s most diverse collections of native blooms. Bold Park – more than 400ha of urban bushland in the suburb of City Beach, 8km west of the CBD – offers relative wilderness in which to enjoy a selection of them. Look for marno, coastal honey myrtle, fan-leaved triggerplant, sand-dune fringed lily and jarrah, all of which should be in bloom along the park’s 15km of walking tracks and horseriding trails.
