This year, Framus debuted the completed Devin Townsend Stormbender: Hevy Devy’s top-shelf signature model with his Fishman pickups, an EverTune bridge and some cool LEDs. It’s been in development for quite a while, but it’s finally ready to go – and it’s heavy. Townsend is also developing a more affordable version, which will be stripped back and simple – that one is still a while off, though. Also on display was Alice In Chains vocalist and guitarist William DuVall’s new Talisman signature model, which is available as a Custom Shop Masterbuilt guitar as well as a Pro Series Teambuilt instrument. Framus also announced the D Series: a more affordable line which is likely where the aforementioned stripped-down Devy model will sit. Also called the Framus Standard Series, these guitars are made in China alongside the Warwick RockBass Series. The line includes a Phil X artist model, and more affordable versions of various Diablo and Panthera shapes.
