Another thrilling set of iPad super sonics from the animated Mr Alburn and friends, loaded with more guest spots than ever—22 in all, including the deluxe bonus disc. Yet they don’t dominate, indeed Damon delivers deep into many songs before passing the mic; both Carly Simon and Grace Jones wait in the wings until their respective middle eights before busting out over the beats, Ms Simon the more anachronistic, her honeyed tones floating like oil on a wide river of deep dub and vinyl crackle, whereas the magnificent Jones takes immediate command, her first four syllables sufficient to stamp her hallmark even while Alburn delivers an amazing vocal himself; at the close they coincide, and it’s intoxicating. The highlight, sans guest, is the tragi-beautiful Busted and Blue, which might make a better Roger Waters track than anything on his own offering.
