Kudos to award-winning appliances that make life better.

Every year a new crop of products for the home emerges, muscling in on existing categories and often carving out new territory with cut-through technology. To pinpoint the appliances and fittings we think will make a difference to people’s lives, Australian House & Garden has partnered with online comparison website Canstar Blue to launch the Innovation Awards. At the recent inaugural event, the expert panel of judges included H&G editor in chief Lisa Green; Darren Hedge, territory executive manager of The Good Guys; group executive Megan Doyle, research coordinator Cathy Day and group executive Lynne Cawley, all of Canstar Blue. They debated the merits of kitchen, laundry, living, leisure and outdoor designs on the market, looking for products that deliver a positive user experience and innovative or distinctive design and function. “Congratulations to the seven award-winners, all game-changers in their field,” said the judges. canstarblue.com.au
