The AvantiPlus Hellfire Cup crew are ramping up for the fourth edition of their four-day mountain bike event, which runs from 16-19 November. When your event’s atmosphere, trails and after party are arguably better known than the exact format of each day’s event – you know you’re probably doing the right things.

And that’s about where the Hellfire Cup sits. Although most of the nation’s elite make sure they are there to contest for honours, the event is as much about celebrating mountain biking and the trails near Kellevie as it is racing. With one of the most diverse stage plans we’ve ever seen, the Hellfire Cup is optimised for pairs but welcomes solo riders with open arms. The stages mix 25 and 50km races with time trials, short course racing, and relays.

Using hand-crafted trails that have had high praise from trail riders and seasoned racers alike, the Hellfire Cup has an event centre with everything you’ll need - from free Wifi to a bar, food vendors and provided lunches, toilets, showers, charging stations, a pump track and more. You can choose to camp, rent a campervan, get a cabin in a holiday park or find something on AirBNB. But the general consensus from those who have been is just go. Don’t miss it. Enter the two day event or book up for the full four – just get involved. Entries close 10th October.
