FOCUS ON 2018
This year, with the development of suspension systems as a whole, Focus decided that a 120mm trail bike had essentially become redundant with the improvement of longer travel trail bikes. So they have ditched the Slice from the lineup for 2018 and replaced it with an updated Jam 130mm 29er.
Using the same F.O.L.D suspension design as the rest of their dual suspension bikes, the Jam 29er comes in right when 29” trail bikes are one of the front runners for the Swiss Army Knife role of MTB machines. They’re agile enough for tight trails, light enough for trail riding, and have the stability and travel to keep you on line in burlier trails.
The Jam C Lite is the only carbon model coming into Australia and comes decked out with a SRAM GX Eagle group, RockShox Revelation RC fork and a Fox Float Metric rear shock, SRAM Guide RS brakes, KS Lev dropper and Mavic XA wheels - a true trail-ready bike straight out of the box at $4,999. There are two aluminium models with Shimano XT 2x11 and Shimano Deore 10-speed respectively – hit up your Focus dealer for full details.
