BIOCONNECTED HR+ HEADPHONES
Australian sports physiologist Dr. Sven Rees has helped to create the world’s first bio-sensing sports earphone that measure heart-rate variability for athletes.
The device can detect minute heart-rate variance using miniaturised infrared Photo plethysmography and offers and new dimension to precision training. The HR+ earphones have a built-in accelerometer and can be paired with Strava - and also customised to provide information (via voice feedback) ranging from virtually running commentary through to specific distance or time way points, with indication of plus or minus pace targets.
Its designers claim the product is reliable for measurement of total energy expenditure, cadence and distance, speed and pace. The headphones weigh in at just 17g, with a listed battery life of 7hrs+ and feature a unique patented design and three axis locking mechanism that keeps the earphones locked in place while you are riding.
