Truvativ makes lots of bars and all of which are slightly different because, let’s face it… So are all of us, and their large range of rider signature bars (including a bar still in their line up named after the late great Steve Smith) is testament to that. The Truvativ Descendant Carbon bar was developed with Enduro Champion Jerome Clementz (JC) and bears the personal angles and setup he likes. Due to the popularity of this bar, it’s been released in in jet black – as tested by us, also available in Troy Lee Designs CoLab and JC’s CoLab. The bar comes in both 31.8mm and 35mm (tested) 760mm wide running a 7-degree back sweep and 5-degree upsweep with a 20mm rise. This is a very stiff bar and reflects the type of rider JC is, allowing you to make fast direction changes with little effort. When using a Truvativ Descendant Carbon there are some nice graphics that help you line everything up straight. Too stiff? No problem! The 31.8mm version has all the same numbers and is a bit more forgiving.
