Mini auction update
It’s not only full-size muscle cars that sell at auction. At July’s first Monday of the month auction held by Trains, Planes and Automobiles in the Blue Mountains, some rare Trax models were included.
Of special interest was a white Valiant Charger as used by NSW Police for Highway Patrol duties. They were one of only a few to use Chargers for police duties. Also in this lot was a Holden HZ Van in NRMA colours.
Both were in excellent condition, in very good boxes, and the pair sold for $70.
A second lot of a Holden ute plus another NRMA van sold for $60.
Some of the early Trax models are now worth big money. The most desirable of all is the Super Scale (1:24) model of the Ford Falcon GT-HO Phase III in the Vermillion Fire colour option. These are worth close to $400 in mint condition.
