edi­tion’s ‘Fal­con from the ashes’ fea­ture told the life story of the Fred Gib­son/Bo Se­ton XT GT that was Ford’s front­line fighter at Bathurst 1968, the Blue Oval’s fi­nal year with Harry Firth call­ing the shots.

We’ve since spot­ted an ad­ver­tise­ment for this car, now owned by Rob Mace­don, in the July edi­tion of Rac­ing Car News.

What is now the old­est sur­viv­ing ex-works Fal­con GT race­car could be had in 1983 for a measily $3600. It was then a Sports Sedan with an eye­catch­ing rainbow war­rior paintscheme.
