bloody time. I have been a proud owner of a Dick Johnson Grand Prix for 20 years and to date there has been very little printed about them anywhere.
As always your article (in AMC #82) was full of accurate information and facts that was second to none. If l had to be critical, the only incorrect statement was about the Modern Motor article as if you look closely there were two different cars used. One had pinstriping.
To see Glenn Webster’s Grand Prix on the cover was the icing on the cake.
Quick Dick yarn overdue
Graham Ritter was well known for turbocharging back then when the practice was in its infancy. I have no idea what the cars were doing there, but there were more than one or two. In fact, a few passed though the workshops.
I expect that the turbos of the day were giving issues and Ritter was having a go at
Recently Man and Machine’s Glenn Everitt drove one on his show and had nothing but praise for them.
At the last DJR open day there were three parked together which was a lovely sight (looking through my blue glasses!).

All were band new cars. I notice that the single carby was in use.
