bloody time. I have been a proud owner of a Dick John­son Grand Prix for 20 years and to date there has been very lit­tle printed about them any­where.

As al­ways your ar­ti­cle (in AMC #82) was full of ac­cu­rate in­for­ma­tion and facts that was sec­ond to none. If l had to be crit­i­cal, the only in­cor­rect state­ment was about the Mod­ern Mo­tor ar­ti­cle as if you look closely there were two dif­fer­ent cars used. One had pin­strip­ing.

To see Glenn Web­ster’s Grand Prix on the cover was the ic­ing on the cake.

Quick Dick yarn over­due

Graham Rit­ter was well known for tur­bocharg­ing back then when the prac­tice was in its in­fancy. I have no idea what the cars were do­ing there, but there were more than one or two. In fact, a few passed though the work­shops.

I ex­pect that the tur­bos of the day were giv­ing is­sues and Rit­ter was hav­ing a go at

Re­cently Man and Ma­chine’s Glenn Everitt drove one on his show and had noth­ing but praise for them.

At the last DJR open day there were three parked to­gether which was a lovely sight (look­ing through my blue glasses!).

Thanks again for a great ar­ti­cle in your fan­tas­tic mag­a­zine. sort­ing them out.

All were band new cars. I no­tice that the sin­gle carby was in use.
