This year saw the suc­cess­ful re­turn of the pop­u­lar retro rac­ing fes­ti­val, which cel­e­brates the an­nual visit by the Tas­man Se­ries to the town­ship, 15 min­utes south of Launce­s­ton, through the 1960s.

Join­ing The Fly­ing Mile run and Long­ford Pub Cor­ner stage (pic­tured), which were both big hits last year, will be sprints at nearby Sym­mons Plains Race­way and a yet to be re­vealed “se­cret fin­ish to the week­end of mo­tor­sport.”

“The 2015 Long­ford Re­vival hosted the big­gest group of cars and bikes of the event’s his­tory and next year prom­ises to be even big­ger with some sig­nif­i­cant cars and bikes al­ready com­mit­ted,” an event spokesper­son said.
