Drone zone

Australian Muscle Car - - Muscle Maniac -

receives countless requests to cover the many worthy car club events held every weekend nationwide. Sadly, while we salute these classic car gatherings, it’s largely impractical to provide space for myriad reasons. Limited resources is a factor, so too the sheer number of events held and the fact ‘cars on grass’ images tend to merge together on page. There’s always an exception, though... These stunning images are courtesy of The GT Club Inc, hosts of ‘Valla 34’, and Robert Hawkes Aerial Photography at beautiful Nambucca Heads.

The 34th annual multi-club Falcon GT run to the NSW’s Mid North Coast, for a weekend stay at Valla Beach, included a Show’n Shine at nearby Nambucca RSL Club. Parking 175 GTs in a stunning setting was such a visual treat that local snapper Rob Hawkes couldn’t get his drone in the sky quick enough.

A big ‘thank you’ goes to the GT Club’s Rob Macedon for pulling this together. He reports that the Valla weekend was a hugely success. While awards are presented to car owners, Valla is an informal, fun weekend for GT tragics and their families – outdoor movies, mechanical bull rides, sumo suits challenge, ice cream eating competitions – as the Falcon GT fraternity keep the flame flickering in the wake of the Ford factory closure.
