Falcon focus at Bathurst

Australian Muscle Car - - News -

Last year’s on- and off-track Bathurst 1000 celebrations focused on anniversaries marking 10 years since Peter Brock’s passing and 50 since the Cooper S’s race triumph. This year two significant Ford-flavoured wins take centre stage: the golden anniversary of the XR Ford Falcon GT’s 1967 victory, which signalled the start of the muscle car arms race on the Mount; and 30 years since the Allan Moffat/ Colin Bond form-finish 1-2 of 1977.

Muscle Car Events Australia has again organised a four-day package for eligible Falcon hardtops and XR Falcons which includes a drive day, anniversary dinner, display in front of the National Motor Racing Museum at Murray’s Corner and a parade lap on Saturday.

MCEA’s Todd Martin is again the ringmaster and can reached at info@musclecarevents. com.au or on 0428 487 981. More info at MCEA’s Facebook page.
