Who or what inspired you to get involved in the health and fitness industry?
My friend Ben Abstacker inspired me to do competition. I have been training with Abstacker for two years then went head to head with him in Musclemania ® Australia and I placed 2nd which I was overwhelmed with for my first competition.

What type of diet do you follow leading into an event?
I like to keep the body guessing at all times that works best for my body and complements my HITT training. Clean foods like sweet potato/ chicken /brown rice /lean mince/lean turkey. I don’t like to use too many supplements I like to get it all from my foods then use supplements for quick absorbing proteins and carbs etc.
How many days a week do you train and do you prefer weight training over cardio, what works best for you?
Combine both cardio in the mornings and weights at night after I have all my meals in me apart from one which I get one hour after training. I believe both cardio and weights complement each other in order to achieve the right fitness model physique.
How important is it to maintain a balance in life, what’s your success mantra?
Balance is everything for me I like to have enough time to chill watch a few movies and enough time for the gym and time to chill with friends. I feel it’s important to have the right balance so you are completely happy :)
How has fitness changed or enhanced your life?
FITNESS has changed my life so much you wouldn’t believe! I used to think I was missing out when everyone was going out getting drunk living for the weekend. Then I realized how happy and fresh I felt 24/7 after getting into the fitness lifestyle.
I then realized this is what I wanted to feel like FOREVER not miss another day feeling rough in bed or feeling sorry for myself. I then started to learn to focus on BIGGER GOALS!
Fitness makes me feel complete I love the gym, I love the buzz, I love how it makes you look and feel. A lot of people don’t have enough energy to go to the gym and they ask how do you do it every day? I find it actually gives me more energy when I have been to the gym than when I sit at home on the sofa doing nothing.
I would urge anyone who is going through a rough time in their life or feeling sorry for themselves to hit the gym, put on your favourite music and focus on a body shape you want to achieve and don’t stop until you reach that goal…you will never look back!
