McLaren and Audi hit top speed
The world’s most drool-worthy motors fresh from the Geneva Motor Show
This spy plane-like virtual cockpit is the command centre you wish all cars had and turns the new Audi TT and TTS into wedges of supercharged silicon that will blitz the Autobahn, then take you to the shops. Behind the wheel, an LCD display is your high-res gateway to the car’s Nvidia Tegra 3-powered system. Consequently, using the satnav now feels less school run and more Death Star run, giant map filling your screen. “Stay on target” etc.
Meanwhile, the speedo and rev counters change size dependent on three preset modes. “Classic” hands both dials equal presence, “Infotainment” then minimises them, while those who buy the TTS also get “Sport” thrown in, with the speedo front and centre. $TBC, audi.com, Out 2014
