A larger screen means texting requires a lot of eye and thumb movement between keys and message area. LG’s sought to reduce this by putting the word you’re typing, plus two suggestions by the keys. Not as slick as Swiftkey, but a small improvement.
The display is divided into four sections and you tap between three and eight times wherever you please to set your passcode. It’s oddly more satisfying than a swipe. The LG G3 also has a content lock to keep files private and a Kill Switch to totally wipe it remotely.
LG’s Android software has always looked a bit bland. Until now. The new system has a simpler, flatter style with circles as the central design motifs. It uses subtler, softer colours that make that ultra-bright screen shine without assaulting your senses.
