The Day is Their Enemy, as are the passing years for these rave oldsters

Australian T3 - - PLAY -

The Prodigy took electronic dance music from the cultural fringe to rock-festival headline status. Their punishing techno, at its best, was like bottled lightning – counterculture cool, the aggression of hard rock and the danceability of, er, dance music. Granted, 20 years on from Jilted Generation, they still sound pretty much the same, but even if their musical growth has flatlined, some of the old energy still peeps through at times. Rave on, grandads! $20 CD, $19 MP3, OUT NOW
