HTC Vive Pro & Vive Wireless Adapter

Australian T3 - - 2018’S GADGET WISHLIST -

There are two hurdles for VR to overcome: getting the resolution high enough for the screen to be unnoticeable, and getting rid of wires. HTC is tackling both with some new products. The Vive Pro fixes lots of small issues, bumping up the resolution to 2880x1600. It’s also been redesigned to keep out light, and includes a pair of hi-res audio headphones complete with a built-in amp, active noise cancellation and 3D spatial audio capabilities. HTC has also announced a wireless adapter that works with both models. It clips to the Vive headset, and uses Intel’s super-fast WiGig tech to stream low-latency video. Get it on your head, pronto. From $1,199, vive.com
