Vaughan Constructions has been building for the K&S Group since 1992. Moving forward into the second decade of business together, K&S Group appointed Vaughan to Design and Construct their new facility in Truganina.

The facility comprises of corporate and operational offices, driver’s facilities, a 2,304m² cross-dock building, 15,000m² warehouse and a 5,337m² truck service and maintenance building. An extensive amount, 78,650m² of pavements surround the facility.

“The project, with its immediate impact on our efficiency, is testament to the close partnership necessary for the successful integration of the complex operations within our business units. Vaughan’s experience in providing progressive design solutions delivered significant savings to the overall project,” says Legh Winser, Managing Director, K&S Freighters Corporation Limited

At Vaughan Constructions, we pride ourselves on ‘ building customers for life’, and our partnership with GMK Logistics is testament to our long term customer commitment. Appointed under a Design & Construct contract, Vaughan recently completed an extension on the GMK warehouse in Gregory Hills, NSW.

The existing facility was originally built by Vaughan in 2016 and included extensive future planning measures to allow for a cost effective and seamless future extension.

The latest project included adding an additional 6000m² of floor space which was completed in under six months.

Vaughan was able to successfully complete the extension with minimal interruption to business operations onsite.

This venture saw Vaughan Constructions team up with Australia’s leading supply-chain provider, Northline to build a 15,000m² purpose-built distribution centre, located in East Arm, NT.

Northline services the whole of Australia through a network of 13 facilities. This new Darwin facility is housed on a 4Ha site and will provide excess of 10,000m² of fully enclosed warehouse space, 500m² of offices and a 385m² workshop.

The facility provides a significant boost to Northline’s Top End operations with easier access to sea, road and rail connections through its location within Darwin’s leading industrial precinct.

“It has been a pleasure to have been involved with a building company who have taken the time to understand our business and work with us to produce such a great facility,” says Dale Goldsworthy, Darwin Branch Manager, Northline

Vaughan Constructions was recently appointed to deliver Linfox’s North Star distribution centre, located in East Arm, NT, after the successful delivery of two major Linfox facilities in WA: a 30,000m² multi-tenanted transport facility in Hazelmere and a 31,000m² fast moving consumer goods warehouse in Kewdale.

The 2,350m² North Star distribution centre includes an office, chiller/ante room, and ambient warehousing space, with over 20,000m² worth of external asphalt, concrete and landscaped areas for container storage and hardstand.

Vaughan has also successfully completed two other projects within the same estate, for Northline and Cahill Transport.
