Dog attack charges
A NORTHAM woman (39) was this week charged over a dog attack in the town last November.
A woman (79) was out walking in Forrest Street in Northam when she suffered an unprovoked dog attack without warning.
She received serious injuries to her lower leg, as well as bruising to her hands and arms, as she attempted to fend off the dog.
The woman was taken to hospital and, following a number of operations and ongoing medical intervention, still remains in hospital care.
The dog owner is expected to appear in the Northam Magistrates Court at a date to be set.
The dog was surrendered and destroyed.
