Avon Valley Gazette - - OPINION -

IN the two days of attractions at the festival Shire President Sue Bilich said there was something for everyone.

“The event is a highlight in the Shire of Kalamunda’s annual calendar, providing an opportunity for residents to come together and enjoy a weekend of fun and free activities, in a safe and family-friendly environment,” Ms Bilich said.

“Each year we also see many visitors come along and enjoy some good old-fashioned Shire of Kalamunda hospitality.”

Parkerville resident Steph Black (25) and her mum Carol will be raising money for the World’s Greatest Shave from their stall.

“We will be selling cupcakes and biscuits on the Saturday, as well as doing face painting, coloured hair sprays and head shaves,” Ms Black said.

The call to “be brave and shave” is the Leukaemia Foundation’s most important fundraising event, providing vital funds to lessen the impact of blood cancer through research and free support.
