AT Swan Christian College, children are valued in all they do and in every aspect of their intellectual, cultural, sporting and spiritual lives, says assistant principal Terry Eason.

“Great emphasis is placed on teaching and learning to help students explore their intellectual horizons and achieve their academic potential,” he said.

“To assist our students achieve their potential, the college aims to provide a supportive environment that is free from intimidation, and recognises and nurtures differences.”

Swan Christian College has a strong pastoral care program that provides a framework of encouragement, enabling students to recognise and use their abilities with compassion, character and confidence in their community.

It is an educational community, consisting of college staff, parents and children working together with the common aspiration of identifying and developing each child’s God-given gifts and abilities.

“We believe that a broad based education is built upon seven foundational pillars,” Mr Eason said.

“These describe the attributes that our students will have the opportunity to develop during their time at the college and are knowledge, courage, service, wisdom, engagement, leadership and spirituality.”

Scholarships are now open for 2016.
