Learning app- lenty
PARENTS can help children prepare for pre- school or continue learning at home over the long summer holiday by using a free app. The Learning Potential is a Government initiative offering hundreds of articles, activity ideas, games and videos for families with children ‘ in the high chair to high school’, complete with new updates and parent tips. Federal Member for Pearce Christian Porter said the app, downloaded 118,000 times, was popular with local parents since it became available more than a year ago. “The Learning Potential app is a trusted resource for parents across the country because it uses the latest national and international research and is designed in collaboration with expert agencies, like the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority and the Office of the Children’s E- Safety Commissioner,” he said. Mr Porter said it was easy to use and helped parents in their role as the first teacher in their child's life. “In the face of Australia’s declining rankings in international education benchmarks, the Government’s Learning Potential app gives parents ways to easily share advice, tips and ideas on being actively involved in their child’s learning and to ultimately help boost their personal skills and education outcomes,” he said.
