Child carers among best

Avon Valley Gazette - - NEWS -

FORRESTFIELD’S Tracey Salsman and Toodyay’s Tracey Hunter have been recognised as being among the nation’s finest in child care.

Ms Salsman is a family day care educator with Nature Alliance and a regional winner in the 2017 excellence in family day care awards.

“I believe each child should have the opportunity to develop and explore their interests in an environment that is safe and well supported,” she said.

She has worked in childcare for 23 years and is one of more than 21,000 family day care educators across the country.

The awards recognise the work done by the educators and highlight the bond shared between families and the child carers.

Ms Hunter, registered with Great Beginnings Family Day Care, is also a regional winner.
