LOCATED in the heart of town, Opal Geraldton Nursing home has been delivering the best in aged care services to the local community for more than 30 years.
The home has recently undergone a significant redevelopment, investing over $ 12 million to expand the number of aged care beds the home can offer the local community.
Opal Geraldton facility manager Carryn Herdman is a local of 30- plus years and knows how integral the home is to the local community.
“Geraldton locals know the home for the excellent care it delivers and now with our beautiful new building offering spacious single bedrooms with ensuites and wonderful living and dining areas, we can better serve the local community with the exceptional care the locals have come to expect and deserve,” she said.
The home has undergone an initial 40- bed expansion, while the existing 50- bed facility is being refurbished and due for completion in February.
The home is planning to host a community open day early next year.
With the redevelopment, the home has changed its address moving from 20 Milford Street to 159- 161 Fitzgerald Street.
Opal Aged Care has seven homes in WA, with two additional homes in Carine and Alfred Cove in the Perth region opening in 2018 and 2019.
