Locals dig deep
HILLS residents have raised more than $ 19,200 in three weeks to support a couple who lost their home in a fire allegedly started by their adopted son.
Shaun Gerard Broes Lynch ( 34) will appear in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on March 7 charged with causing criminal damage to the family property destroyed in the blaze.
Mt Helena Residents and Ratepayers Association added $ 500 to the community campaign for Danny and Anne Lynch. The group held a poolside barbecue to raise funds for the couple at Mt Helena Aquatic Centre on Saturday.
Donations came from businesses including Linley Valley Pork and The Breadwinner Bakery in Mundaring.
