TRANSITION Town Kalamunda has focused on quashing people’s obsession with plastic bottles, bags, straws and wrapping by partnering with the City of Kalamunda to present free information sessions on reducing single- use plastic consumption.
Mayor John Giardina said some plastic items remained in the environment for up to 600 years.
“These sessions will provide you with all the tips and tricks you need to know to reduce plastic waste,” he said.
Plastic’s not Fantastic information sessions will run from 6pm to 7pm on Tuesday, June 5, at Forrestfield Library and Tuesday, June 19, at Lesmurdie Library.
