STUDENTS at Begonia State School participated in the school’s annual Public Speaking Competition on August 16.
William Gordon, Abbey Gordon, Jesse Demchenko and Maricka Murphy competed for a spot to represent Begonia State School at the upcoming Balonne Public Speaking Competition, which will be held in Bollon later this year. According to Begonia principal Kate Horrex the students all did their best and should be commended on their hard work.
“The students have been working on their speeches at school and at home, and our judges, Tamlyn Marsh, Emily Killen and Col Siddins, complimented all students on their performance, content, passion and commitment to their speech,” Ms Horrex said.
Maricka Murphy was selected to represent Begonia at the Balonne competition.
