NAIDOC celebrates languages
NAIDOC week 2017 in St George was a chance for those who are doing extraordinary things in the community to be recognised.
Aboriginal Housing Company’s Chris Lamb said the week, celebrated at the beginning of July was a great chance for the whole community to come together.
“It is all about promoting cultures; it doesn’t matter if you are aboriginal or not, the week was about coming together to have fun,” Mr Lamb said.
On Wednesday, July 5, people were recognised at the NAIDOC award ceremony at the amphitheatre in St George.
Congratulations to all the winners.
