School debate

Balonne Beacon - - NEWS WELCOME -

OUR schools are no place for agendas and ideologies.

Classrooms and schools need to be focused on delivering great education outcomes for our children.

The State Labor Government’s focus on the Safe Schools Coalition program and resources has left parents and communities in the dark on how widely it is being used.

There has been a lack of audits and little disclosure of which schools are using the resources.

There is no evidence to support the continuation of the Safe Schools Coalition program in Queensland.

New South Wales and Tasmanian governments have announced they are withdrawing the program from their schools.

A future LNP government will withdraw the Safe Schools Coalition resources in Queensland schools and develop a broad anti-bullying strategy in its place that will promote inclusion and provide resources for teachers and students.

All forms of bullying and anti-social behaviour should never be tolerated in our schools. — Ann Leahy Member for Warrego
