One Long Table, one great event

Balonne Beacon - - NEWS -

EXOTIC food, cultural sights and global sounds – in past years, One Long Table was a feast for the senses and this year’s event is shaping up to be just as much fun.

One Long Table has become one of the most anticipated events on Chinchilla’s social calendar and with planning for this year’s event well under way, organisers say they’re expecting to draw thousands of people.

“We had around 3000 last year but this year I think we’d like around 4000,” chairman Rohan Woodforth said.

“There are more stall holders this year too, all of our old stall holders came back on this year because last year’s event was such a success and others have heard about it, which has allowed us to increase by about 10 stalls.

“It’s a community event but we’re targeting people from out of town too.

“Last year adults were dancing in front of the stage during the salsa performance, that’s why we got them back this year.”

The event is to be held on October 14 at Heeney St in Chinchilla from 5–7pm.

The event promises delicious food from around the globe in a relaxed setting for the whole family.
