The Story of the Royals, Seven, Sunday at 8pm

IN MAY the world was captivated by the royal event of the year: the wedding of Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle. The Story of

the Royals asks a simple question: how exactly did we get here?

How did an institution so rigidly built on ideas of hereditary succession come to welcome such a radically new identity to its ranks?

Jumping back to the early decades of the 20th century, this two-part series explores the pivotal moments in the crown’s history.

In William and Harry, we see leaders who bridge the gulf between duty and family, serving their people by placing exemplary acts of compassion front and centre.
