Library offers a home service
COUNCIL offers a free home library service to Brisbane residents who are unable to visit a library because of frailty, disability and long-term illness. The home library service selects reading and audio-visual materials for customers based on their interests or reading preferences. These items are delivered to homes across Brisbane on a monthly basis. For more information contact Bracken Ridge Library on 3667 6060.
THE kerbside collection for Zillmere will begin the week starting Monday, July 24. Please do not place your items on the kerb until the weekend before the collection date as illegal dumping fines may apply. Remember to keep piles to a maximum of two cubic metres and ensure the footpath and roadway are kept clear. Remove doors from refrigerators and cupboards and remain mindful not to leave out sharp or dangerous objects. For a full list of acceptable items visit Council’s website or contact my office on
PET owners are reminded to keep their contact details up to date on their pet’s registration. If ever your pet is lost, correct contact information enables our shelters to reunite you and your pet faster. Details can be updated by calling Council’s Contact Centre on 3403 8888.
