Best of British cars
NORTH Brisbane car enthusiasts will be polishing their vehicles in preparation for the All British Day this Sunday, September 17 from 8.30am-2pm at St Joseph’s Sports Ground, Tennyson. The event is expected to attract hundreds of cars, motorbikes and possibly a special visit from the ultimate British transport vehicle – Dr Who’s TARDIS. Zillmere’s Vern Pailthorpe is a member of the Austin Motor Vehicle Club of Queensland and will drive his A50 to the event. “There’ll be all sorts of British cars from the really old to the out-of-the-pocket (really expensive) new models. “There will be Rolls Royce, Minis, Austins, Vauxhalls, Rovers and some of the other rare models.” Mr Pailthorpe said everyone was excited to see who competed this year.
