NORTH Bris­bane car en­thu­si­asts will be pol­ish­ing their ve­hi­cles in prepa­ra­tion for the All Bri­tish Day this Sun­day, Septem­ber 17 from 8.30am-2pm at St Joseph’s Sports Ground, Ten­nyson. The event is ex­pected to at­tract hun­dreds of cars, mo­tor­bikes and pos­si­bly a spe­cial visit from the ul­ti­mate Bri­tish trans­port ve­hi­cle – Dr Who’s TARDIS. Zillmere’s Vern Pailthorpe is a mem­ber of the Austin Mo­tor Ve­hi­cle Club of Queens­land and will drive his A50 to the event. “There’ll be all sorts of Bri­tish cars from the re­ally old to the out-of-the-pocket (re­ally ex­pen­sive) new mod­els. “There will be Rolls Royce, Mi­nis, Austins, Vaux­halls, Rovers and some of the other rare mod­els.” Mr Pailthorpe said every­one was ex­cited to see who com­peted this year.
