HUN­DREDS of fam­i­lies at­tended a morn­ing of free school hol­i­day ac­tiv­i­ties in Fitzgib­bon last week.

The event was held in Hid­den World Playground and in­cluded ac­tiv­i­ties for all ages, Street Sci­ence work­shops, free face paint­ing, craft and games.

The School Hol­i­day Fun Day was hosted by Bracken Ridge Ward Coun­cil­lor Amanda Cooper.

“This event al­lowed lo­cal fam­i­lies to en­joy a fun morn­ing in the park with lots of free ac­tiv­i­ties for all ages and I am proud to be able to host this event through fund­ing ob­tained by the Lord Mayor’s Sub­ur­ban Ini­tia­tive Fund.

“We were ex­cited to have lo­cal busi­nesses and com­mu­nity groups in­volved, in­clud­ing Street Sci­ence and the Bracken Ridge Li­brary.

“We were also pleased to have Jabiru bring­ing their pop-up Play­bus to the event, which pro­vided in­ter­ac­tive games for ev­ery­one.”

Hid­den World Playground is lo­cated 411 Roghan Road, Fitzgib­bon.
