DESIGNER STEWART HORTON “We wanted the kitchen to t seamlessly into this stellar 1960s home. New timber parquet ooring ties back to the ooring throughout the house, and a paredback coffered ceiling echoes the other ceilings throughout. Streamlined joinery blends into the architecture making the custom ‘Brazil’ wallpaper from Papiers de Paris the hero of the space. This entertainer’s kitchen includes a separate butler’s pantry and breakfast nook.” What luxury items did you choose for this space regardless of budget? “The ovens were a luxury the client couldn’t live without. For entertaining they needed at least two plus a 60cm oven for cake and pastry baking. Also, caterers usually require space for at least two people at the hobs. This one was customised especially for this kitchen, including the colours and con guration.” hortonandco.com.au
