Open soon for dinner
When an opportunity arose for Christie Phillipson to expand her catering business, Fabulous Fodder, she and her partner Johnny Grimley saw it as a fantastic way to incorporate, catering, private functions, a cafe and entertainment.
And so Somewhere Fodder was formed.
The cafe at 3 Bridge St opened three months ago and over that time has been experimenting with mainly simple fresh, fast food and light meals, and determining where the demand is.
With a new chef on board they now plan to expand the menu to cater for dinners with everything from bar snacks to fresh seafood platters, sushi, taster plates, some traditional dishes (with a modern twist) and other fresh healthy meals.
‘‘Somewhere is continually evolving and we hope to create a great casual atmosphere for eating, drinking and being entertained,’’ Ms Phillipson said.
The venue has been extensively renovated and has a bar and large space out
Fabulous the back that is available for private functions, casual dining and entertainment such as comedians, live theatre, bands and acoustic artists.
They are always seeking new entertainers, and local artworks are also on display and for sale.
Somewhere can seat about 60 people and will open for dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from Febru- ary 12 with a happy hour from 5 pm to 6 pm.
Somewhere is open on Wednesdays from 9.30 am to 4 pm, and Thursday to Saturday from 9.30 am until late, with take home meals available.
They are also available for catering outside of these hours and are now taking bookings for Valentine’s Day on 0412 839 145.
