Cus­tomers come first for new sales man­ager

Be­nalla Toy­ota’s sales man­ager Jared Bren­nan has a lot on his plate, but his top pri­or­ity is still his cus­tomers.

Mr Bren­nan has been work­ing for Be­nalla Toy­ota for two and a half years now, but has taken up the post as sales man­ager in the past eight months.

He says his job en­tails main­tain­ing the stock, car de­liv­er­ies, talk­ing and sell­ing to cus­tomers, and keep­ing the show­room pre­sentable and well main­tained, along with look­ing out for ju­nior mem­bers on the team.

‘‘The aim for us is to make sure that ev­ery­one com­ing to us goes away feel­ing they’ve been treated well and haven’t been led down the gar­den path by a car sales­man, which is a stereo­type I think a lot of peo­ple have,’’ he said.

Mr Bren­nan said there was a large range of peo­ple that went to Be­nalla Toy­ota, and for a num­ber of rea­sons.

‘‘You never know who will walk through the door on any given day,’’ he said.

‘‘Some­times peo­ple come in and they know more about the cars than you do, and other times they will ask me a lot of ques­tions to find out which car will be best for their needs.’’
