Benalla players make cut

Three up-and-coming Benalla football players have been selected for the Murray Bushrangers in the lead up to the 2018 TAC Cup.

Mark Marriott and Patrick Warner of the Benalla Saints, and Rhys Goodley of the Benalla Giants were all selected for the wider pre-season squad after a standout year on the field for their Benalla teams.

The TAC Cup under-18 football is an repre- sentative competition held across Victoria.

It is based on geographic regions with each team representing one of the 12 regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne.

The tournament was won this year by the Geelong Falcons, when they defeated the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup grand final last month. 2018 TAC Cup pre-season squad players from Cobram, Seymour Jack Brooks, Cobram Nic Davey, Seymour Sam Durham, Seymour Rhys Goodley, Benalla Giants Huw Jones, Seymour Hudson Kaak, St Mary’s Seymour Mark Marriott, Saints Phillip Seymour Sid Vooght, Seymour Patrick Warner, Benalla Saints Benalla and Benalla Solomon,

Practice starts at 7.30 pm. The club’s summer season starts October 25.
