Take a trip down memory lane
On Wednesday, November 1, the Aussie Muscle Car Run heads to Winton as part of its rally from Eastern Creek to Adelaide.
The day will feature Australian touring car legend Allan Moffat, as well as television personality Shane Jacobson.
The tour features a number of classic cars of bygone eras: classic Falcons, Monaros, Toranas from the Bathurst era, as well as replicas of these vehicles.
Classic muscle cars in Australian history, such as the Datsun 1600, Alpha Romeo and Cortinas will all be on the track.
While the owners of these incredible pieces of Australian motorsport history get the pleasure of driving these immaculate vehicles, the overall cause is key to the tour.
It is raising money for the leukaemia foundation.
Blood cancers are the third biggest killer in Australia every year, claiming more lives than breast and skin cancer.
The event has been organised by Kevin May since its inception.
Kevin previously lost his sister to leukaemia, which motivated the creation of the cause.
Unlike many car events, means a race.
Rather, it is an opportunity for owners of these great vehicles to enjoy a leisurely drive through four states and territories while showing off their vehicles to fellow collectors, as well as to the members of the community, who come out at each stage of the rally.
Members of the community who want to donate to the cause can do so at aussiemusclecarrun.com or at the event next Wednesday.
