Be­nalla P-12 Col­lege’s new ex­ec­u­tive prin­ci­pal Tony Clark hosted his first allschool as­sem­bly last week.

Some stu­dents re­ceived awards and schol­ar­ships, while oth­ers per­formed with the school band, sang songs and a group dressed up as their favourite char- ac­ter to cel­e­brate Week 2018.

Eight stu­dents re­ceived schol­ar­ships for 2019; Danielle Know and Kaylee Boer from Year 5; Flynn Weeks and Ash­ton Hop­kins from Year 6; Charlie Thomp­son and Ella Willett from Year 7; and Ta­ree Fletcher and Matthew John­son from Year 8.

Mayor Don Firth was on hand to present Na­tional Stu­dent Vol­un­teer Awards to eight stu­dents and mem­bers of the Be­nalla Ro­tary Club pre­sented Ju­nior Com­mu­nity Awards to an­other 13.
