Damon Rees (Team Rees Racing, CBR600RR) has been enjoying a scintillating season in the Kawasaki Supersport class with third place in the standings.

Now the New Zealand rider is as confident as ever and still hasn’t given up hope of a victory in the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli (ASBK).

He talked about his chances ahead of this weekend’s racing at Winton. You’re third in the standings, what’s the goal for the rest of the season?

TOP— Jayden Ojeda has won his third CAMS PAYCE Australian Formula 4 Championship round of 2018, with two race victories at Winton on the weekend. ABOVE— After the drama of Winton and Nick Kelly wrapping up the series, Australian GT will now prepare for their next event as part of the CAMS Australian GT Championship and the CAMS Australian Endurance Championship, heading to Hampton Downs in New Zealand on October 13-14. LEFT — Nick Kelly has claimed the 2018 CAMS Australian GT Trophy Series title, after a nailbiting finale. He topped both qualifying sessions to start Race 1 from pole and a conservative drive from Kelly in the second race saw him finish fifth, a result that confirmed him as the 2018 title winner.
