Supplying BPA range
TRANZMILE, one of Australia’s leading independent aftermarket truck and trailer parts suppliers, has announced it has purchased the commercial parts and intellectual property of Brake Parts Australia.
Brake Parts Australia for the past 30 years has been one of Australia’s pre-eminent wholesale distributors of foundation brake parts and more recently a full range of air brake valves, fittings, air brake hose and additional componentry to suit OEM trailer manufacturers and aftermarket parts suppliers.
BPA went into liquidation recently after 30 years operating as a wholesale parts imports business to the commercial and passenger vehicle market.
“We immediately saw the opportunity to add the BPA range to our growing wholesale parts business when we found out about BPA’s troubles” said Tranzmile’s managing director Cameron Black.
“We have been building our wholesale parts range so that we could service our own growing network of stores, our own resellers and increasingly OEM trailer manufacturers, and purchasing the commercial parts stock and intellectual property of BPA was a perfect fit to this,” he said.
The Brake Parts Australia and OE Spares brands will live on, with Tranzmile continuing to import and supply the full range of BPA commercial parts.
“I am inviting all previous customers of BPA to contact us so we can discuss ongoing supply of the parts that they were buying off BPA. We purchased over $250,000 worth of stock from BPA, which we now have available for BPA customers, and we have already kickstarted our new wholesale program with the appointment of Ron Hathaway as our wholesale parts manager,” Cameron went on to say.
“The BPA and OE Spares brands that are already well known in the industry will live on, so really nothing will change other than the fact we will be carrying much higher levels of stock and focusing on growing both the range of parts and our wholesale parts business”. SOUTH BURNETT
