Big Rigs - - TRUCKIN’ IN THE TROPICS WITH ALF WILSON -

BUNDABERG-based Gary Scifleet transported the second ever “gladiator” to Palm Island on an Isuzu light truck.

But this was a vastly different gladiator to Hollywood actor star Russell Crowe who visited Palm Island with his band 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts in July 2004.

Gary works for Rides N Slides and this was a gladiator duel game which was amongst children’s entertainment equipment he took there for NAIDOC celebrations.

The other things were a big slide, merry go round and sports activities.

“The kids really loved it and we came over on the barge and spent four days here and set up in the park near the sea. It is a beautiful place. The Isuzu is a reliable light truck,” he said. Gary and other workers travelled over with the Isuzu and equipment from Lucinda across the ocean.

The company travels all of North Queensland.
