Big Rigs - - TRUCKIN’ ON THE BORDER WITH DAVID VILE -

HAVING just had his first run in the Wagga Convoy for Kids, Cameron Steinmetz took time out from polishing his Kenworth T401 to have a chat to Big Rigs.

Owned by his employer, Complete Road Seal, the T401 was accompanied by a T404 in the run through the streets of Wagga to the show at Lake Albert.

Powered by a Cat C-12 rated at 510hp, the Kenworth is one of five trucks in the CRS fleet which works in a wide area out of Wagga on asphalting and road sealing works.

The Kenworth normally tows a Trout River walking floor trailer with hot mix and Cameron and his team had recently had an interesting trip home through the snow at Kiandra and down the Talbingo Mountain on their way back from a job at Merimbula.

Cameron reckoned the Kenworth was a nicer rig to drive than the Freightliner he usually steers and reckoned that he will be back next year.
