ARSC2017

THE Aus­tralasian Road Safety Con­fer­ence is be­ing held from October 10-12 at the Crown Perth Ho­tels com­plex in Perth. If you haven’t seen Aus­tralia’s spec­tac­u­lar west, this might be the op­por­tu­nity. The Aus­tralasian Col­lege of Road Safety, Aus­troads, the Australian Road Re­search Board and the Curtin Monash Ac­ci­dent Re­search Cen­tre are jointly host­ing the largest road safety-ded­i­cated con­fer­ence in the South­ern Hemi­sphere. With a theme of ‘Ex­pand­ing our Hori­zons’, ARSC2017 will show­case the re­gions’ out­stand­ing re­searchers, prac­ti­tion­ers, pol­icy-mak­ers and in­dus­try span­ning the plethora of road safety is­sues iden­ti­fied in the United Na­tions Decade of Ac­tion for Road Safety. 2017 Kempsey Truck Show

IT’LL BE an­other proud day for the New South Wales north coast truck­ing com­mu­nity with a huge all day truck­ing event based at the Kempsey Show­grounds on Satur­day, October 14. It will fea­ture a full day of all sorts of en­ter­tain­ment for all ages in­clud­ing a huge street pro­ces­sion that will kick off from 9.30am. THE ATA and ARTSA spon­sored Tech­ni­cal and Main­te­nance Con­fer­ence will be held in Dock­lands, Mel­bourne from October 16-18. It’s the truck­ing in­dus­try’s premier tech­ni­cal and main­te­nance event and reg­is­tra­tions are now open. 33rd An­nual Scale Model Show and Expo

WAGGA Wagga and Dis­trict Scale Model Club’s 33rd An­nual Scale Model Show, Expo and model com­pe­ti­tion is be­ing held over the week­end of October 28-29. NEW­CAS­TLE Hunter Trans­port Aware­ness Day and Truck Show is be­ing held on October 29 at the Mait­land Show­ground, in Mait­land NSW. In its 23rd year, the New­cas­tle Hunter Trans­port Aware­ness Group is proud to pre­sent the 2017 Trans­port Aware­ness Day and Truck Show at the larger venue of the Mait­land Show­ground so it en­sures they can ac­com­mo­date na­tion­ally recog­nised en­ter­tain­ment and per­form­ers, plenty of ac­tiv­i­ties for the kids, lots of food op­tions, mar­ket stalls and have even more space for the trucks. All funds raised will be used to in­vest in trans­port aware­ness in the com­mu­nity and to sup­port lo­cal char­i­ties. 2017 Bris­bane Con­voy for Kids

NOVEM­BER 4 is the Bris­bane Con­voy for Kids day for 2017. The con­voy will leave John­son Rd in For­est Lake on Bris­bane’s south-west from around 9.30am and run the 60 kilo­me­tres north-east to the Red­cliffe Show­grounds for a day of fam­ily en­ter­tain­ment. Mul­lumbimby Truck Show 2017

IT IS be­ing held at Mul­lumbimby in far north­ern New South Wales on Satur­day, Novem­ber 11 in con­junc­tion with the 110th Mul­lumbimby Agri­cul­tural Show. There will be a pro­ces­sion through the town start­ing from around 11am and run­ning to the show­grounds. What a fan­tas­tic two-in-one event this prom­ises to be.
