THE Australasian Road Safety Conference is being held from October 10-12 at the Crown Perth Hotels complex in Perth. If you haven’t seen Australia’s spectacular west, this might be the opportunity. The Australasian College of Road Safety, Austroads, the Australian Road Research Board and the Curtin Monash Accident Research Centre are jointly hosting the largest road safety-dedicated conference in the Southern Hemisphere. With a theme of ‘Expanding our Horizons’, ARSC2017 will showcase the regions’ outstanding researchers, practitioners, policy-makers and industry spanning the plethora of road safety issues identified in the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety. 2017 Kempsey Truck Show
IT’LL BE another proud day for the New South Wales north coast trucking community with a huge all day trucking event based at the Kempsey Showgrounds on Saturday, October 14. It will feature a full day of all sorts of entertainment for all ages including a huge street procession that will kick off from 9.30am. 33rd Annual Scale Model Show and Expo
WAGGA Wagga and District Scale Model Club’s 33rd Annual Scale Model Show, Expo and model competition is being held over the weekend of October 28-29. It will be held at the Hawks Football Club Hall, 1 Pioneer Ave, Gumly Gumly, East Wagga Wagga. For more information, go to www.wdsmc.org.
NEWCASTLE Hunter Transport Awareness Day and Truck Show is being held on October 29 at the Maitland Showground, in Maitland NSW. In its 23rd year, the Newcastle Hunter Transport Awareness Group is proud to present the 2017 Transport Awareness Day and Truck Show at the larger venue of the Maitland Showground so it ensures they can accommodate nationally recognised entertainment and performers, plenty of activities for the kids, lots of food options, market stalls and have even more space for the trucks. 2017 Brisbane Convoy for Kids
NOVEMBER 4 is the Brisbane Convoy for Kids day for 2017. The convoy will leave Johnson Rd in Forest Lake on Brisbane’s south-west from around 9.30am and run the 60 kilometres north-east to the Redcliffe Showgrounds for a day of family entertainment. Mullumbimby Truck Show 2017
IT IS being held at Mullumbimby in far northern New South Wales on Saturday, November 11 in conjunction with the 110th Mullumbimby Agricultural Show. There will be a procession through the town starting from around 11am and running to the showgrounds. What a fantastic two-in-one event this promises to be.
