ROCKHAMPTON-based truckie Mostyn Armstong was heading towards Cairns in his Western Star to pick up equipment when Big
Rigs saw him at the Bohle Puma north of Townsville on September 15.
The 29-year-old Mostyn works for Peter Anderson Contracting Pty Ltd and has been a truckie for 10 years.
“Before this I have also driven a Kenworth and it is a good life,” he said.
Having fair skin and living in the tropics, Mostyn said he often wore a hat.
Outside work Mostyn enjoys music and has been a drummer in a Rockhampton band.
He nominated the Fitzroy Development Rd, near Duaringa, as one which requires extreme care travelling along.
Mostyn likes stopping at the Caltex Wyong Roadhouse when interstate.
Being well under the average age of Aussie truck drivers, Mostyn said he was in it for the long haul.
