ROCK­HAMP­TON-based truckie Mostyn Arm­stong was head­ing to­wards Cairns in his Western Star to pick up equip­ment when Big

Rigs saw him at the Bohle Puma north of Townsville on Septem­ber 15.

The 29-year-old Mostyn works for Peter An­der­son Con­tract­ing Pty Ltd and has been a truckie for 10 years.

“Be­fore this I have also driven a Ken­worth and it is a good life,” he said.

Hav­ing fair skin and liv­ing in the trop­ics, Mostyn said he of­ten wore a hat.

Out­side work Mostyn en­joys mu­sic and has been a drum­mer in a Rock­hamp­ton band.

He nom­i­nated the Fitzroy De­vel­op­ment Rd, near Duaringa, as one which re­quires ex­treme care trav­el­ling along.

Mostyn likes stop­ping at the Cal­tex Wy­ong Road­house when in­ter­state.

Be­ing well un­der the av­er­age age of Aussie truck driv­ers, Mostyn said he was in it for the long haul.
